Right then points go in India Under-19's bag as they have clinched a dominating victory. The next game of the Under-19 World Cup will be played between Pakistan Under-19 and Bangladesh Under-19 on 3rd February. The game will be live from 1.30 pm IST (8 am GMT) but you can join us an hour early for the build-up. Till then cheers!

The skipper of India Under-19, Uday Saharan says he is delighted with the form of the players in all departments of the game. Congratulates Nepal Under-19 on the way they have performed so far in the tournament. Mentions that they had planned to bat first and give chances to the lower-order batter so that they have some time before the semis. Closes by saying they are taking each game at a point and that they have played South Africa earlier and are well prepared to play them. Informs that the keeper, Aravelly Avanish is totally fine and is resting well.

Dev Khanal, the skipper of Nepal Under-19 is up for a chat. He says that it is a huge honor for them to play in the World Cup along with getting into the Super Six. Adds that there are a few disappointments in the batting side. Mentions that strike rotation needs the improve. Says that he has learned many things and he is disappointed with himself for not playing long innings.

Sachin Dhas is the POTM and he says he is feeling fantastic he was informed yesterday about him being promoted today and he feels happy that he has done well today. Mentions that he can slog big and being out there with Uday helped him a lot. Says that he idolizes Sachin Tendulkar and that's why he has taken the jersey no. 10.

The Presentation ceremony…

Earlier in the game, after electing to bat first India Under-19 lost 3 for 62 and were in a situation of bother but the middle order tuned up well and it was a good test for the young Indian batters. Musheer Khan was held back to as low as 6 in order to give chances to others and Sachin Dhas proved his worth in the fold with a sensational century. Sachin wasn't the only centurion for India Under-19 as skipper Uday Saharan too scored a ton today. The duo of Sachin Dhas and Uday Saharan put together a record partnership of 215 for the 4th wicket. For Nepal Under-19 it was all about Gulshan Jha in the bowling department as he scalped 3 including the two centurions late in the innings. Aakash Chand took a wicket as well.

The bowlers of India Under-19 were brilliant on the day as they have been throughout the competition so far. The side went wicketless in the powerplay for the first time in this tournament but soon made up for it by chipping in with wickets left, right, and front. Saumy Pandey was once again brilliant with the ball as he picked up 4 crucial wickets while Arshin Kulkarni got two. Raj Limbani, Aaradhya Shukla, and Murugan Abhishek got one each and it was quite a comprehensive bowling performance by the young boys in blue to seal their spot in the semi-finals. However, they could now bowl out the last two men from Nepal Under-19.

Chasing down a mammoth total of 297 the Nepal Under-19 innings got off to a steady start as the openers had a partnership of 48 right at the top between Dipak Bohara and Arjun Kumal. Once the partnership was broken it all broke down for Nepal Under-19 as they lost wickets in a cluster and were unable to rotate strike or score runs. Only Deepak Bohara, Arjun Kumal, and Dev Khanal managed to get starts but nobody built up on that, and the rest were bundled inside single digits. Dev Khanal put up a strong stand and survived for a long time. It was a horrible batting performance from Nepal Under-19 and something they should take learning from, going ahead in the future. The last wicket partnership was also a big positive for the innings and they survived fifty over against a strong bowling lineup.
